WHAT ARE THE EXPORT FREE ZONES?

The free zones are defined as a geographic area of the country, submitted to special customs and tax regimes, established by law, which permits the installation of companies that destine their production or services towards foreign markets. Free zones are areas limited by gates or walls, where the entrance and exit of people, vehicles or cargo, is supervised by personnel of the General Customs Office.

ABOUT THE NATIONAL FREE ZONES COUNCIL

  1. Is the official authority responsible for the regulation of Law 8-90, on Export Free Zones and the application of its regulations

  2. Integrated by representatives of the public and private sectors to outline an integrated policy for the promotion and development of the free zones, the Council approves the establishment of new companies and the development of the existing ones.
